Backlot Talent Agency was established after our relocation to one of the most historic and celebrated sites on the Fox Studio Lot - Bldg 86, also called the Stars Building, which housed many of Hollywood's greatest stars when they were filming for Twentieth Century Fox.

Our office is in the former Dressing Room "M" which was home to many Fox leading ladies including Alice Faye, Betty Grable, Joan Crawford, and perhaps most famously, Marilyn Monroe.

Backlot Talent Agency is dedicated to honoring and respecting the importance of the Actor's contribution in creating Hollywood magic. Our mission is to pursue distinctive opportunities for our clients to showcase their talent across all entertainment platforms.

Founded by Mary McLaren, a career long studio executive in Hollywood. Mary served as COO, International Theatrical and Worldwide Home Entertainment at Twentieth Century Fox for more than a decade, after which she headed up Next Chapter Entertainment's Talent division.

Proud to be recognized in the top half of The Hollywood Reporter's Power 100 Women in Entertainment for multiple years, Mary is an active member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Television Academy and a mentor for upcoming talent across the distribution and production divisions of the major studios and for the Academy Gold program.
